FCC’s 2017 Humanitarian
Jill Ford is selected as FCC’s 2016‐2017 Humanitarian
Her leadership skills and her history working with non‐profits and community organizations throughout her career, make her the key volunteer any agency would like to have on their team. While President of the Foothills Community Foundation she spearheaded the community Needs Assessment which was accomplished in 2000. This assessment led to the YMCA, Paradise Valley Community College/Black Mountain and the Community Foundation facilities now at the Black Mountain Campus. The Foothills Caring Corps is honored and grateful for Jill’s strength and leadership from 2007‐2015 as President of the Advisory Board and then the President of the Board of Directors. She joined FCC just at the right time to position us for growth and movement. Jill will be honored at the Major Donor Recognition on March 30th.
2017 Founder’s Award
Using her 29 years of experience working with non‐profit organizations that ranged from hospice agencies, interfaith ministries, and volunteer networks, Gail was able to grow Foothills Caring Corps for the first six years of the Corps existence. A Robert Wood Johnson start‐up grant kicked off the organization’s development. Gail knew the value of community involvement and developed early partnerships with local congregations and community organizations. Her leadership drew in passionate volunteers and within three short years Foothills Caring Corps had over 200 committed volunteers reporting for service. Her experience, compassion, and collaboration are what fed that initial seed and nourished it so Foothills Caring Corps could grow into the amazing organization we are today! Please join us to honor our Founding Director of Foothills Caring Corps at our Taste of the Foothills Fundraiser. Come thank Gail for her building a strong foundation for the Caring Corps.
