The Annual Valentine’s Day Celebration was a huge success this year. Neighbors had a wonderful time eating, enjoying music, catching up with old friends and making new ones.
Paula, an FCC Neighbor said “FCC Volunteers are the best. Thank you for having the Valentine’s Party. I enjoyed it and all the goodies as well as meeting many of the Neighbors.”
Thank you to the volunteers that provided all the goodies and the helpers that hosted the event. A special thank you to June Reilly and Marian Abramowitz for organizing the event, Mark Kahnke for providing the musical entertainment and Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church for hosting the party.
Linda, our new Administrative Assistant staffer said, “As I went around and served the tea sandwiches, dessert and coffee, the smiles on the Neighbors faces were the best thank you anyone could receive. I loved how they were all dressed up in their Sunday best and you could tell this was something they all were waiting for. I was touched by how doing the simplest thing could mean so much to someone. It is a reminder that a little touch of kindness goes such a long way. We tend to get caught up in our everyday life that sometimes we forget. I am always glad to be reminded to enjoy the simple things in life because they usually mean the most.”
