Five years ago my wife Debbie was in need of some medical supplies for her visiting PSP challenged sister. A friend of ours suggested we could get help from the Foothills Caring Corps. We visited the Caring Corps and discovered that they provide mobility devices such as wheelchairs, walkers and more to community residents through their Mobility Equipment Loan Closet.
And they provide this service free of charge.
Imagine being able to have access to this medical equipment for as long as necessary…without charge. We were surprised and grateful to discover that such an organization and service even existed.
I also learned more about the Caring Corps. I discovered that they provide a wide variety of services from Mobile Meals to Medical Transportation with a dedicated force of Volunteers who truly enjoy giving back to the community. And like the Loan Closet, these services are provided without charge.
After my experience, I felt the need to give back, too. I became a volunteer and with my many years of serving on Boards, have now become a Board Member of this amazing organization. I’m proud to be part of the 500 volunteers that serve the community on a daily basis. The Foothills Caring Corps is waiting to help you.
